Iran’s National Day to be celebrated at Astana Expo

Iran’s National Day is to be celebrated in Kazakhstan with Iranian bands Rastak and the Aylan Children Dance Group.

Iran’s National Day has been scheduled to be celebrated at Astana Expo 2017, in Kazakhstan, by Iranian bands Rastak and the Aylan Children Dance Group.

A number of Persian media outlets announced on Wednesday that the Iranian groups will have performances on August 4.

The folk music ensemble led by tar virtuoso Siamak Sepehri, Rastak, is set to perform a repertoire of regional Iranian music.

Aylan will give a performance of Azerbaijani dance and music at the expo.

Other performances include a puppet show in collaboration with the French company Les Grandes Personnes, who will perform a tale from the ‘Shahnameh’ (Book of Kings), Persian classic epic written by the 10th century celebrated Iranian poet Ferdowsi.

Exhibitions of more than 100 countries, in a site covering 25 hectares, are currently underway at the Astana Expo 2017 with the theme of Future Energy.

Opened on June 10 in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the expo is to come to end on September 10.
